Solid Energy is New Zealand's leading producer of coal and a significant contributor to our country's export earnings.

Why does our future look so bright? We know that to meet New Zealand and export demand we need to open new mines and double production. To do that we need an experienced and highly skilled workforce.

Our operations are based primarily in three regions; Waikato, the West Coast of the South Island and Southland. Our corporate office is in Christchurch.
