Future Energy Options Report

Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd has published a comprehensive analysis of New Zealand’s energy demand drivers and electricity supply options.

The 60-page report, “Energy Options: Securing Supply in New Zealand”, prepared by the coal producer, with support from Concept Consulting Ltd and the New Zealand Institute of Economic Research, reviews in detail the country’s energy supply options as the supply of gas available to firm hydro generation dwindles. It considers several scenarios for demand growth and for the effects of climate change policies on future electricity generation.
