Graduate Programme
Solid Energy's Graduate programme has been designed to ensure you have every opportunity to develop skills and an extensive understanding of the mining industry. The programme initially appoints graduates to an appropriate position based at one of our sites, either in Southland, the West Coast or Waikato. An extensive orientation period begins the programme then Graduates are rotated to a range of work sites according to skill sets, before being finally appointed to a permanent role. Each Graduate has a designated mentor and supervisor at each site they work in. Both are responsible for the professional development of the Graduate. Solid Energy realises the value of developing technical expertise and is committed to running a programme that builds on the qualifications each Graduate brings and assists in defining and reaching each Graduate's professional potential. Solid Energy's sites are close to some of New Zealand's most scenic areas and are well situated for a range of outdoor pursuits - we are confident we can cater for all your outdoor interests. We employ Graduates from the following disciplines : Mining Engineering, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geotech Engineering, Engineering Geology.
