Spring Creek (Underground)

Spring Creek Underground Mine is near Greymouth. Towards the end of 2006 development work began on a new five-year mine plan. This $25 million project is expected to be completed towards the end of 2007, giving access to another 3.1 million tonnes of the mine's low sulphur, low ash coal.
